Oceania Marine Coatings is one of two paint contractors involved in the application of protective coatings for the vessel whilst it is hauled out. Brad Hall from Oceania Marine’s project management team is the paint supervisor and states:

“We run a high quality paint team and have been called in to do detailing and paint repairs in high visibility areas. The work has to be carried out in a very short time frame and over Christmas and New Year which is a traditional holiday period in New Zealand. We have met the challenges that this presents and are on track to complete our designated works on time and to our usual demanding standard”.

At 63M LOA the vessel is a large project commanding considerable resources from all those involved. Oceanic Discoverer offers expedition and adventure cruises around Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, South-east Asia and the island archipelagos of Melanesia. She is a true ambassador of the Oceania region.
